I have a female gold in a tank w/ a female opaline. I also had another female gold before the opaline. The other gold died overnight (I THOUGHT from stress) and now Im noticing that the gold is charging the opaline. At first the opaline was hiding all the time. Now, she comes out, and flees when the gold charges. I had read that the females would be less aggressive towards each other, if at all. Now, Im concerned for my opaline. I have a 10 gal. tank w/ 3 platys, 2 gobies, one juvenile white lyretail molly, and a catfish. I would not put more than one gourami in a 10 gal. tank at a time.

I have kept one of these fish in a non heated four ft tank with mexican walking fish and it ate all my algae so they do work in cold water or at least for me it did unfortunatly my walking fish ate it not long after!
now i have another one in the same tank but now it is a heated tank with tropical fish my algue eater however is not the same as the one pictured as i have an albino morph of this species its a nice golden colour. my fish is only 2 inches and is friendly and fun to watch.

this is one of my favourite fish but do not keep with aggressive fish or the will get bullied, best to keep with other smaller fish and other dwarf gourami but not flame gourami as they are too aggressive.

i have 1 short tailed dalmation molly and 1 marbled long tail and i love these fish especially my marbled one it is so friendly as soon as you go near the tank it swims up to you and looks so cute, it is probably begging for food but it is just so cute

for anyone who has had this fish i have hade one for about 1 year in a 55 gallon and he is 7 inches he is a good worker but can you tell me how to get him bigger or tell me if they just grow slow e-mail me at bigbutt404@aol.com

These cute little fish are quite hardy and active.Ihave two plecos one is about 6 inches while the other is about4 1/2 inches.If you take care of them well they will live long and be quite enjoyable.

Tin foil barbs are great they love to eat feeder fish. I have three of them with all kinds of fish in one tank. I have a shark oscar three tin foils 5 bottom feeders one albino shark an african chiclid and some other medium fish I had many smaller fish but when the tim foils grew to be bigger they eat all the small fish. FUN GREAT FISH.

actually i have experience with this fish for about 6 years.
this fish , basically is easy to take care of as long as you pay attention with the water condition. give arowana a variety of food such as lizard, frog, fish, cricket, centipetes is the one that it like most. oke guys have fun in keeping arowana
