Hi guys I have two questions for you all. First of all recently I got a pair of ocellaris and I'm wondering what kind of anemone goes with them and is it normal for them to bite each others fins? They only did it yesterday but is it OK? All they do now is swim next to each other. Thanks.

Hi, just want to add something about this fish life span.
I bought two young Amphiprion frenatus early 1988. After a while they turned into male and female. The produced eggs some times, but no larvae survived due to other fish in tank, I presume.
The male died after just 10 years or so.
But, today, the female is still alive. Soon turning 30 years !
As I have been told, the life span is something like max 18 years or so.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to add an Oman to my 55gal tank that consists of two tomato clowns, a snowflake eel, and an African red starfish? If not what clown fish, and if no clown fish what fish?

Tomoato clowns don't do well with other types of clownfish because of being territorial and aggressive, so I would recommend against adding an Oman.

No other clownfish, but a sand sifting go y is always the way to go

Too many fish! Salt water does not hold as much oxygen as fresh water. Use a lot of aeration, and stick to the clowns only. At least until you can get a bigger tank. Coral has very high and specialized lighting and nutritional needs. If you are new to the hobby, and all of us once were, stick to a fish only tank until you have a lot more experience, and have learned more by reading and talking to other hobbyists. If you can, join a local club. But read, read, read. Don't forget your weekly water changes!

That small of a tank will barely accommodate a single Percula, and only if you are very dilligent about the water quality. You'll need a larger tank for a pair (20 gallons minimum). If you want to keep these animals successfully, I strongly suggest you check out each of the specimens you want to keep and understand their requirements.
